Very Very disappointed. We called them to provide an estimate to do some work that was recommended by our local utility. They provided an estimate for everything that was on the "to do" list given to us by our assessor.
We decided that we could only do one or two things at a time, as we are not wealthy enough to do it all at once. So, we asked what the most important thing would cost, and if we could do the other things later.
"Well, we'd really like to do it all at once. It'd be a lot easier that way," they said. Yes, I'm sure it would be, but I can only afford to this part right now, and it is the most important, so lets start here, and we'll do the other items as we can afford them.
THIS IS A SHADY COMPANY, MONEY-HUNGRY, and the should not be on the Austin Utilities preferred provider list for rebate-related work. Could not believe they wouldn't take my money, even though it was not the whole amount of work?!?! I mean, didn't they know I'd use them again for the rest of the work, if they had done the first part? Really ignorant, disrespectful, and in a small town - you just don't pull that.
From then on it was the run around, until finally they just flat out stopped returning my phone calls, and not answering. They completely wasted nearly a month of my time, telling me they'd come look, and then no-showing, or telling me they'd call, then nothing. Promising estimates in writing, but never delivering.
The manager-guy who comes to do estimates, is just flat out rude, unprofessional, and apparently not very into customer service. They must just get a lot of work from Austin Utilities, and think that it'll be an endless stream, no matter how they treat customers, but it'll come around. Too bad.
