First let me say the staff working in the office are not friendly, not rude just not very friendly.
The campground is very noisy, with golf karts going all day and night non-stop.
It is also worth noting that the seasonal campers were very friendly to us throughout the entire weekend. The couple next to us (seasonal campers) let us use their golf cart whenever we wanted. Very cool.
Loud music, kids running around unsupervised, it's like staying in a jungle of wild animals.
Me and my family of 4 had a fantastic time at this campground. The facility was very clean, and the staff was exceptional. There is so much to do, we never had a dull moment. This was our first trip to a Jellystone park. We had so much fun, we are going to make it a family tradition to make the 2 1/2 hour drive up I-35 to Beaver Trails every Labor day.
My family spent a weekend there a couple weeks back. There were so many things that were broken and not open. The staff though not uniformly rude, definitely had a few very unhelpful people. We went there primarily to spend time with family friends who have a permanent site there. They told us about the decline of the campground over previous years and under different management. Mind you, these are very responsible, not partying, keep their site clean, decent people. I just saw on Facebook that because they had complained to corporate about the decline of the park that management came to their site and told them that if they didn't leave, pulling up their camper and everything they had there immediately that they would be calling the police. These are such good people and it is absolutely unconscionable that they treated them this way. For that alone I hope that no one stays there anymore. I know we never will again.
If your looking for a place with no rest or relaxation and no smiles than this place is for you.
Excellent job on a great campground and thank you for the memories. Can't wait for our return trip next year.
Stayed here July 7th-10th. The kids loved the place. There seemed to be enough activities to keep them busy. The pool and water slides were fun and the kids loved the blow up slides and bouncy ship. My youngest really liked the train ride. They had some other activities as well that the kids could take part in. I had a mix up with my pet and Janet was extremely understanding and helpful and accommodating, we really appreciated it and made our stay better.
The kids stayed busy and entertained. My only complaint would be that kids are throwing or leaving their garbage behind by the ponds and it's ending up in the water. I do think someone should clean up the pond more often. I went to the ranger station to advise it was pretty dirty and No one came by to clean within the four days I was there. I would have given 5 Stars if someone came by to pick that up. Other than that, happy kids = happy dad. And to end on a good note, all the staff were great, nice friendly and good attitudes, especially the Ice Cream girls. This experience has made my family wanting to travel to other Jelly Stone parks and check them out. Next stop Colorado.
And then the rates at anywhere from $75-85 A night ,you would expect the best campground experience ever, well not here,in reality everything here is just about how they can over charge you for everything.
Good place good people, kinda spendy but lots of stuff for kiddos
The pool, mini golf, jumping pillow, and kids activities are fun, but the new owners have alot to learn on how to run a campground.
